Mid-Winter Food Collection

We have a goal of 1000 cans of food collected as soon as possible after 8 February 2009.  Children will bring cans of food to the chancel of the church for Children's Sermon time on Sundays.  The food collection baskets stand in the Narthex and anyone can contribute.  Help out local food distribution agencies and those who would otherwise go hungry.  Bring in some cans!  Thanks.

Pay It Forward

On March 1st, both worship services will make available envelopes with money inside.  Those willing to use the money for local missions may take an envelope and over the course of the next few weeks, use that money in the name of Christ for the good of someone in need.  Those who take envelopes are invited to add personal contributions to the money inside, so that the ministry to others will grow even larger.  We hope that VCUMC "Pay It Forward" will be a significant service to community members in need, and will offer many a chance to serve.
